Sales Support Coordinator

Level: Full-Time Staff

Location: Chicago, IL

Organization Overview:

AV Chicago serves meetings and events nationally, both virtually and in person. Our team is made up of individuals who are client-focused and all-in to ensure each event is a successful one. We are Show Ready for all events, no matter where they are held.

Summary of Position:

AV Chicago’s sales team is looking to bring in a self-starter who can assist the sales team with fulfilling operational tasks. In this position, we are looking for a candidate that excels in a fast pace environment and is comfortable juggling multiple priorities at the same time. This position will help sales team members from contract to event execution.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Track deals within CRM
  • Data integrity management of customers within our CRM
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels of an organization
  • Assist sales team members in the sales process
  • Assist customers with questions along the process
  • Bridge the sales and project management accountability
  • Collect payment for contracts from customers
  • Track project-specific invoices
  • Pass off-key project details within the correct systems
  • Field calls for the sales team as needed
  • Assist the general manager with tracking KPIs for the sales team

Qualifications:

  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of events and AV
  • All-In mindset to jump in and help out wherever is needed
  • High attention to detail and accountability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excel working in a fast pace environment
  • Basic technical skills in AV or experience in selling technology solutions is a plus

Other Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as an integral sales team member
  • Knowledge of Hubspot or CRM
Operations Support Coordinator

Summary of Position:

AV Chicago’s operations department is expanding, and now has an available role for a candidate who can assist the team with fulfilling operations support tasks. In this position, we are looking for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable juggling multiple priorities at the same time. This position will help operations team members from kick-off through the event execution.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist production team members in the operations process
  • Assist the Operations Manager with labor and logistics scheduling.
  • Attend internal operations meetings to gather and maintain event data
  • Bridge workflow and information between the Sales, Production, and Operations
  • Coordinate workflow between the Production Dept. and Sales Dept.
  • Track labor invoices and purchase orders
  • Field calls for the operations team as needed
  • Assist with operations administrative projects
  • Manage data for events logistics
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate with people in all levels of an organization
  • Working knowledge of AV and event technologies
  • All-In mindset to help the team out whenever needed
  • High attention to detail and accountability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excels working in a fast-paced environment

Other Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as an integral productions team member
  • Past experience working with scheduling software is a plus
