Operations Coordinator

As the Operations Coordinator of AV Chicago, you will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of tasks related to the day-to-day operations of a successful audiovisual production and rental company. You will need to use your experience, and intuition to make crucial judgment calls regarding staffing and transportation to fulfill the needs of AV Chicago’s clients. 

Responsibilities
  • LABOR SCHEDULING
  • Coordinate the scheduling of all AV Chicago field staff as needed to fulfill company labor production needs.
  • Coordinate freelance labor to fulfill scheduling needs.
  • Constantly update the in-house staffing system to reflect current show rosters and vehicle logistics.
  • Produce and maintain a current, and future labor forecast to identify areas when Labor capacity is near capacity/needs to increase.
  • Constantly monitor upcoming production quotes in order to properly plan for labor needs and capacity issues.
  • FLEET MANAGEMENT AND LOGISTICS
  • Maintain company fleet to insure maximum availability of vehicles to accomplish AV Chicago show needs.
  • Coordinate the usage of AV Chicago fleet to maximize efficiency of vehicles in the field.
Requirements
  • 2-5 Years experience in staffing or logistics coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of Northeast Illinois, and Northwest Indiana geography, and roads.
  • Superior understanding of common travel issues, and timing related to Chicago area traffic.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and complete assigned workload in a highly time-sensitive environment.
  • Creative problem solver.

Audio Lead Tech (A1)

Responsibilities
  • Setting up and operating audio systems at events
  • Managing audio department inventory
  • Staying abreast of current developments in audio technology
  • Researching new audio technology and making informed purchasing decisions
  • Supervising and training other audio technicians
  • Collaborating with account reps to design audio systems for events
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience
  • In-depth knowledge of current audio technologies including digital audio consoles
  • Experience in a corporate event environment
  • Ability to supervise a team of technicians at an event
  • Ability to communicate with clients and the provide a high level of customer service
  • Flexibility to work an ever-changing schedule of nights, mornings, and weekends (including occasional out-of-town travel)

Inside sales account representative

Responsibilities
  • Designing audio, video, and lighting systems based on client’s needs.
  • Creating and submitting complete and accurate proposals to clients.
  • Maintaining direct contact with customers from proposal through completion of the event.
  • Developing and maintaining communications with existing and potential customers.
  • Maintaining an understanding the ever-evolving capabilities of AV Chicago, it’s inventory, and pricing in addition to industry trends.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in live event technology.
  • Field experience with portable audio, video, and lighting equipment for live events.
  • An understanding of system design, signal flow, integration and interconnectivity.
  • Knowledge of best practices for live event setup and operation.
  • A client first, customer service attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong, self-motivated work ethic.
